Beautiful Flowers, Your Way

Hello and welcome to The Bloomery @33 Blog!

If you've found your way here, chances are you're planning a wedding, dreaming about beautiful flowers or perhaps wondering whether artificial wedding flowers could be the perfect choice for your big day.

Well, you're in the right place!

I'm Sian, the face (and flower-loving hands!) behind The Bloomery @33, a little wedding flower business based in Southport, specialising in bespoke artificial wedding flowers and floral styling.

And I'm so excited to welcome you to our brand-new blog!

Whether you're newly engaged, knee-deep in Pinterest inspiration or just starting to think about your wedding flowers, I hope this becomes somewhere you can find ideas, inspiration and a little helpful advice along the way.

How The Bloomery Began

The story of The Bloomery actually started with my own wedding back in 2024.

When Adam and I got married, I decided to make all of our wedding flowers myself.

I've always loved sunflowers, so they were an obvious choice for our big day, alongside light blue and white roses, dahlias and gypsophila.

From the bouquets and buttonholes to the larger arrangements decorating our venue, I loved the whole process of choosing the flowers, putting everything together and seeing my ideas come to life.

And one of the loveliest things?

I still have my wedding flowers today.

They weren't something beautiful that lasted for just one day. They became keepsakes from one of the most special days of our lives.

What started as making flowers for our own wedding eventually grew into an idea.

And that idea became The Bloomery @33.

Why Artificial Wedding Flowers?

Let's be clear about one thing.

I absolutely love fresh flowers!

But I also love everything that good-quality artificial flowers can offer.

The freedom to choose colours and flowers without worrying quite so much about the season.

The ability to create bouquets well before the wedding day.

The reassurance of knowing your flowers won't wilt in the heat.

And, of course, the fact that you can keep them afterwards.

Modern artificial flowers have come such a long way, and with the right combination of blooms, foliage, textures and colours, they can create some absolutely beautiful arrangements.

And that's what I love doing.

Taking individual flowers and turning them into something that feels personal to the couple they're being made for.

Your Flowers, Your Way

This is probably the most important thing I want couples to know about The Bloomery.

You don't have to choose from a catalogue of ready-made bouquets.

The flowers you see on our website and social media are there to give you inspiration and show you the different styles we can create.

But your wedding flowers are designed around you.

Perhaps you love the shape of one bouquet but want completely different colours.

Maybe you've fallen in love with a particular flower on Pinterest.

You might want something traditional and elegant, wild and whimsical, bright and colourful or completely different from anything you've seen before.

That's absolutely fine!

Send me your ideas, colour schemes, inspiration photographs or Pinterest boards, and we'll work together to create something that suits your wedding.

And if you haven't got a clue where to start?

That's fine too!

Sometimes the best ideas start with a simple conversation.

More Than Just Bridal Bouquets

Although bouquets are a big part of what we do, The Bloomery offers much more than that.

We create a whole range of artificial wedding flowers, including:

  • Bridal and bridesmaid bouquets
  • Buttonholes and pocket buttonholes
  • Wrist corsages and ladies' buttonholes
  • Flower girl posies and wands
  • Ceremony and aisle flowers
  • Wedding arch and moongate arrangements
  • Registrar and top table flowers
  • Table centrepieces
  • Welcome sign and cake table flowers
  • Larger statement floral displays

Personal flowers are made for you to keep, while many of our larger venue arrangements are available to hire.

That means you can have beautiful flowers throughout your wedding without needing to find somewhere to store an enormous floral arch afterwards!

Beautiful Flowers Without the Wedding Price Tag

Weddings can be expensive.

I know that from experience!

And while flowers can be one of the most beautiful parts of your day, I don't believe they should have to take up an enormous chunk of your wedding budget.

That's why affordability is such an important part of The Bloomery.

Our bridal bouquets start from just £35, with bridesmaid bouquets from £20, and we also offer personal flower packages and venue flower hire options.

Of course, every wedding is different, and prices depend on the flowers, sizes and designs you choose.

But my aim is always to help couples create something beautiful at a price they're comfortable with.

Because you shouldn't have to spend a fortune to have flowers you absolutely love.

Based in Southport, Creating Flowers Across the UK

The Bloomery is based in Southport, Merseyside, but you don't have to live nearby to order your wedding flowers.

Our personal flowers, including bouquets, buttonholes and corsages, can be carefully packaged and posted throughout the UK.

For couples closer to home, we also offer delivery and setup of larger venue arrangements across Southport and surrounding areas.

So whether you're planning a wedding just down the road or hundreds of miles away, we'd love to hear your ideas.

What Can You Expect From The Bloomery Blog?

This is where things get exciting!

I've created this blog to share more than just photographs of bouquets.

I want it to become a useful little corner of the website for anyone planning their wedding flowers.

We'll be chatting about things like:

Wedding flower planning – What flowers do you actually need? How much should you budget? When should you order them?

Artificial wedding flowers – How do they compare with fresh flowers? Can they really look realistic? What are the benefits?

Bouquet inspiration – Different shapes, sizes, colours, flowers and styles to help you find something you love.

Wedding venue flowers – Arches, aisle decorations, table arrangements and ways to make the most of your floral displays.

Colours and themes – From romantic whites and soft pastels to sunflowers, wildflowers and bold, colourful combinations.

Behind the scenes – A little look at the bouquets and arrangements I'm creating, how they come together and the stories behind them.

And hopefully, as The Bloomery grows, we'll have lots of lovely real weddings and couples' flowers to share too.

A Little Bit of Wedding Inspiration

One of my favourite things about creating wedding flowers is that no two couples have exactly the same vision.

Some love classic ivory roses and elegant greenery.

Others dream of soft pinks, blues and romantic pastels.

Then there are the couples who want sunflowers, bright colours, wildflowers, thistles or something completely unexpected.

And I love that!

There are no rules saying your bouquet has to be white, your bridesmaids must all carry matching flowers or your ceremony arrangements need to look a certain way.

Your wedding should reflect your personalities.

And your flowers are a lovely way to show that.

Let's Create Something Beautiful

Whether you're just starting to plan your wedding or already know exactly what flowers you'd love, I hope you'll find plenty of inspiration here.

I can't wait to share more flowers, ideas and inspiration with you.
