🌸 A Little About Me...

Hi, I'm Sian, the person behind The Bloomery. 🤍

I'm not a florist by trade — I'm a bride who discovered just how much fun (and how rewarding!) it can be to create your own wedding flowers.

When I married Adam in 2024, I decided to make all of our wedding flowers myself.

And when I say all of them, I mean all of them! 😂

I made my own bridal bouquet, bridesmaids' bouquets, aisle flowers, gazebo flowers and large flower displays in milk churns, as well as a floral arch.

I even made three different styles of pocket buttonholes, ladies' buttonholes and a wrist corsage.

Basically, if it involved flowers, I was making it!

🌻 And my favourite? Sunflowers.

They're probably always going to have a special place in my heart because they were such a big part of our wedding flowers.

I paired them with light blue flowers, white roses, dahlias and gypsophila, creating a bright, relaxed colour scheme that felt very us.

🌸 So, how did The Bloomery happen?

Our wedding actually led to Clintons Crafts @33 The Games Company too.

We made garden games for our own wedding and everyone absolutely loved them. It got us thinking...

"Maybe we should start our own business doing this!"

And that's exactly what we did.

The games side of the business has grown from there, providing handcrafted garden games and wedding mini golf for weddings, parties and events.

But I never quite forgot about the flowers.

Because while I loved creating my own wedding flowers, I know that not everyone feels confident doing it themselves.

And that's where The Bloomery comes in.

💐 Beautiful Flowers Without the Wedding Price Tag

I wanted to create something for the bride who is thinking:

"I know what I like... I just have absolutely no idea how to make it happen!"

Maybe you don't have the design eye.

Maybe you don't know which flowers work together.

Maybe you've got 47 different Pinterest boards and now you're even more confused than when you started. 😂

Or perhaps you simply don't want to spend a fortune on wedding flowers.

And honestly, I get it.

There are some absolutely beautiful wedding flowers out there, but the prices can quickly add up — particularly when you're trying to decorate an entire wedding.

So my idea for The Bloomery is simple:

Beautiful flowers, kept as simple and affordable as possible.

I'm not trying to create elaborate floral installations that cost thousands.

I'm creating pretty, realistic artificial flowers that look beautiful, photograph well and don't cost the earth.

I still need to make a living, of course! 😂 But I'm not interested in adding a huge wedding mark-up just because something is for a wedding.

🤍 A Little More About Me

I'm originally from North Wales, but Southport is now home.

Alongside The Bloomery and the games side of Clintons Crafts @33, I also work part-time for a local business, so yes... there's usually a lot going on! 😂

We're a local family, our children go to local schools and colleges, and the whole thing really has grown from our own wedding and our decision to try something a little different.

I don't have a big team of florists behind me.

It's me.

I'm the one you'll chat to, the one putting your flowers together and the one obsessing over whether that buttonhole looks just right. 😂

And I actually quite like it that way.

🌿 Keeping Things Affordable

I source my artificial flowers from a local wholesaler, rather than buying cheap bulk flowers from places like Temu.

That means I can choose the flowers I use, keep an eye on quality and still keep my costs as low as I reasonably can.

I'm not claiming to be the cheapest wedding flower supplier around — but I do want to offer a genuinely more affordable alternative for couples who want beautiful flowers without spending a huge chunk of their wedding budget on them.

And because everything is made to order, we're not limited to a shelf of ready-made bouquets.

You tell me what you like.

Show me your colours.

Give me a photograph you've fallen in love with.

And we'll work from there.

🌸 Your Flowers, Your Way

The flowers you see throughout The Bloomery are inspiration rather than off-the-shelf products.

You don't need to pick one of my designs exactly as it is.

Maybe you love the colours from one theme, the flowers from another and the shape of a bouquet you've found on Pinterest.

That's absolutely fine.

We'll take the bits you love and create something around your wedding, your style and your budget.
