🖤 Dark & Moody Wedding Flowers

Dramatic, luxurious and full of personality

If you're dreaming of wedding flowers filled with deep reds, rich burgundy, dark plum and moody foliage, Dark & Moody could be the perfect style for your wedding.

Think rich jewel tones, dramatic blooms, deep greenery and plenty of texture. This style can be romantic and luxurious, bold and dramatic, or dark and atmospheric depending on the flowers and colours you choose.

And because everything at The Bloomery is made to order, this is simply your starting point. You can choose the shades, flowers and overall style to create something that's completely yours.

🖤 What makes Dark & Moody so dramatic?

Dark wedding flowers don't have to mean black flowers and nothing else! Deep, rich colours can create a really beautiful and luxurious wedding palette, especially when they're balanced with softer shades and plenty of greenery.

Some of the flowers that can work beautifully with this style include:

🌹 Roses – deep red, burgundy and wine-coloured roses are perfect for creating a romantic, dramatic feel

🌺 Dahlias – fantastic for adding texture, depth and statement colour

🌷 Calla Lilies – their elegant shape works beautifully with darker, more dramatic colour palettes

🌸 Ranunculus – delicate layered petals that soften the deeper tones

🌺 Peonies – full and romantic, perfect for adding softness and volume

🌸 Lisianthus – ruffled blooms that work beautifully alongside richer flowers

🌿 Eucalyptus & dark greenery – adds texture and helps create that moody, botanical feel

🍇 Berry-toned blooms – perfect for adding another layer of rich colour

🤍 Ivory & blush blooms – a touch of something lighter can beautifully balance a darker palette

These are just ideas to get you started — you don't have to choose all of them!

💐 From Bridal Bouquet to Wedding Day Flowers

Your Dark & Moody theme doesn't have to stop at your bridal bouquet.

I can create coordinating flowers for as much or as little of your wedding as you'd like.

Bridal Bouquets

From a romantic bouquet of deep red roses to a wild and textured arrangement filled with burgundy, plum and dark foliage, your bouquet can be as subtle or dramatic as you like.

Bridesmaid Bouquets

Keep bridesmaid bouquets slightly softer than the bridal bouquet, or embrace the darker colour palette throughout the whole wedding party.

Buttonholes & Corsages

Add touches of your colour scheme to your groom, wedding party and special family members with coordinating buttonholes, ladies' buttonholes and corsages.

Table Flowers & Centrepieces

Bring the darker palette into your reception with rich floral centrepieces, romantic table arrangements and smaller floral details.

Venue & Ceremony Flowers

For a real statement, larger arrangements can be used to decorate ceremony spaces, arches, backdrops and other focal points.

Cake Flowers & Finishing Touches

A few deep red, burgundy or plum blooms can bring your whole wedding colour scheme together beautifully.

You choose how much or how little you need.

🖤 Your Flowers, Your Way

The flowers shown throughout The Bloomery are examples and inspiration rather than off-the-shelf products.

Perhaps you're drawn to deep burgundy and plum. Maybe you want rich red roses with just a touch of dark foliage. Or perhaps you want something a little softer, with blush or ivory flowers mixed into the darker tones.

That's absolutely fine.

I can change the colours, flowers, foliage and overall style to create something that works with your wedding and your budget.

And if you've been saving ideas on Pinterest...

Show me your Pinterest inspiration board! 😂🖤

Seriously — send it over!

Whether you've saved hundreds of bouquets or just one photograph that you absolutely love, your Pinterest board, screenshots and saved images can be a brilliant starting point.

And if Pinterest isn't your thing, don't worry. Photos, Instagram saves, magazines, colour swatches or anything else that inspires you are just as useful.

Beautiful Flowers Without the Wedding Price Tag

We created The Bloomery because we don't believe you need to spend a fortune on wedding flowers to have something beautiful.

Artificial flowers are particularly lovely for winter weddings because you don't have to worry about cold weather, delicate fresh flowers or seasonal availability affecting your arrangements.

And there's another big advantage...

You get to keep them. 🤍

Your bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, buttonholes, ladies' buttonholes, corsages and other smaller arrangements can be yours to treasure after the wedding.

For larger arrangements and displays, we can offer a rental option, helping you create a beautiful winter floral look throughout your venue without having to purchase and store large arrangements afterwards.

So you can spend your budget where it matters most to you.

Beautiful flowers. Your style. Your budget. A keepsake to treasure.

📸 See how your flowers come together

One of the lovely things about having your flowers created especially for you is that you don't have to wait until your wedding morning to see the finished result.

I'll keep you updated throughout the process, sharing photographs, videos and ideas as your flowers come together.

Where appropriate, I'll also create mock-up ideas or samples so you can get a feel for the finished look.

You'll be able to see your flowers taking shape before your big day. 🤍

FAQ's

Are the flowers shown available to buy exactly as pictured?

Not exactly. The flowers shown throughout this page are examples and inspiration. Your wedding flowers will be created especially for you based on your chosen flowers, colours, style and budget.

Is Winter Romance only for Christmas weddings?

Not at all!

The frosty whites, deep greens and silver elements work beautifully throughout the winter season.

If you're getting married in December, you can add Christmas reds, berries and festive greenery for a more seasonal feel.

Do I have to have Christmas red?

Absolutely not.

You can keep your wedding flowers completely white and ivory, add silver and greenery, or choose soft berry tones instead.

The Christmas red is simply an option if you'd like to make the look more festive.

Can I have a Christmas wedding without making it look too Christmassy?

Definitely.

We can create a winter wedding palette using white, ivory, silver and deep greenery, with just subtle hints of red or berries.

You can have the winter magic without turning your bouquet into a Christmas wreath!

Can I choose the flowers?

Of course.

You can tell us your favourite flowers, show us your inspiration or simply tell us the overall look you're after. We'll work with you to create something that fits.

Can I keep my flowers?

Yes. Bridal bouquets, bridesmaid bouquets, buttonholes, corsages and other smaller arrangements are yours to keep.

Larger floral displays can be available to rent, helping you keep the overall cost down.

How much will my Winter Romance wedding flowers cost?

There's no fixed price because every wedding is different.

Our Wedding Flower Prices page gives you starting prices for bridal bouquets, bridesmaid bouquets, buttonholes, corsages and wedding packages.

Your final quote will depend on the flowers, sizes, quantities and designs you choose.

Our aim is always beautiful flowers without the wedding price tag.

How do I book?

Get in touch with your wedding date, venue and any ideas or inspiration you have. We'll chat through what you're looking for and put together a quote.

A booking fee is required to secure your booking, with the remaining balance due approximately 8 weeks before your wedding.

When will I receive my flowers?

We aim to have your keepsake flowers with you at least 2 weeks before your wedding day wherever possible.

Larger rented displays that we're delivering and setting up at your venue will be arranged with you in advance.

Where do you deliver?

We're based in Southport and can arrange local delivery, while smaller items such as bouquets and buttonholes can be posted or sent by courier.

For larger floral arrangements, we offer delivery and setup at venues around 20 miles of Southport, subject to availability.
